The following terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply to the provision by Guide Dogs Association of SA & NT Inc. (ABN 91 183 168 093) trading as Beau’s Pet Hotel (Beau’s Pet Hotel, We, Us or Our) to you (Pet Owner, You or Your) of Boarding, Daycare, Day Stay, Grooming, Puppy School and/or other related services (the Services) for Your dog or cat (Pet) at Beau’s Pet Hotel at Adelaide Airport, South Australia (Facility). By making a booking with Beau’s Pet Hotel, You will be deemed to have accepted these T&Cs. Amendments to these T&Cs must be agreed in writing by Us.
1.1. You agree to provide all contact details and other information We require to accept a booking. Contact details include the Pet Owner’s, and an emergency contact’s name, telephone number and email address (authorised by You to be contacted and to collect the Pet, if deemed necessary by Us). You also agree to inform Us immediately if any of those details change.
2.1. For Boarding, Day Stay and Daycare, You must pay 50% of the total booking costs as a deposit to secure Your booking.
2.2. The balance of the booking costs (and any other fees or charges incurred by You in accordance with these T&Cs) must be paid in full on check-out of Your Pet(s).
2.3. For Boarding, You will be charged on a per day rate to cover the cost of Your Pet’s suite for each day of boarding including the day of check-in and check-out.
2.4. For Puppy School, You must pay in full at the time of booking to secure Your booking.
2.5. For Grooming, You must pay $30 as a deposit to secure your booking. We reserve the right to apply additional charges above Your grooming booking fee depending on the condition of Your dog’s coat when presented to us. You acknowledge that additional charges may be charged for, and not limited to, the removal of matting, flea treatment, and for late-pick up.
2.6. You agree to pay all fees and charges levied by Us in relation to the Service provision.
2.7. You agree to pay all costs and charges for special services requested or deemed necessary by Us and any veterinary costs for the Pet during the time the Pet is in Our care including, but not limited to travel fees and additional labour costs (as set out in clauses 16 and 17).
2.8. Payments can be made using any of the accepted payment methods specified on Our website https://www.beaus.org.au/ (Website) at the time of payment.
3.1. You must give notice to Us if You wish to cancel or modify a booking.
3.2. If a Boarding or Puppy School booking is cancelled by You (in whole or in part) or by Us in accordance with these T&Cs (including under clause 6.5) within 7 days of the scheduled Boarding or Puppy School class start date, or You do not attend Your scheduled booking, any Boarding deposit or Puppy School payment already paid to Us at the time of cancellation will be forfeited to cover Our administrative costs and loss of opportunity for other bookings.
3.3. If a Boarding booking is modified (in whole or in part) by You within 7 days of the date of the scheduled booking, any decrease in the period of the booking as a result of the modification will not apply and You remain liable to pay the balance of the booking costs for the original period in full (and any applicable increase in costs as a result of the modification).
3.4. You must give Us a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel a Grooming booking. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment time, or no shows, will incur a $30 charge (loss of deposit) to cover Our administrative costs and loss of opportunity for other bookings.
4.1. During certain Peak Periods the minimum Boarding stay requirements as published on the Website will apply.
5.1. You must, on making a booking and at all other relevant times, disclose any medical conditions or peculiar behaviours (eg timidness or fear aggressiveness or any behavioural conditions and/or previous observations that could affect Your Pet’s ability to integrate safely in a group setting) of Your Pet(s).
6.1. You acknowledge and agree that all Boarding, Daycare, Day Stay and Grooming Pets must meet the requirements in clauses 6.2 to 6.4 (and by presenting the Pet for check-in at the Facility, You warrant and represent that the health treatment requirements in clauses 6.2 to 6.4 have been met).
6.2. All Pets must have been treated for fleas and worms not more than 1 month prior to the date of check-in.
6.3. Cats and dogs must have received:
a) an initial course of the F3 vaccination (for cats) or C5 vaccination (for dogs) at least 14 days prior to the date of check-in; or
b) a booster F3 vaccination (for cats) or C5 vaccination (for dogs) at least 7 days, but no more than 12 months, prior to the date of check-in.
6.4. Puppies must have had their first vaccination before attending Puppy School’s classes.
6.5. The current vaccination certificate for the Pet must be provided to Us on making the booking or no later than 14 days prior to the date of check-in for Boarding animals or at check-in for Daycare/Day Stay, in order to confirm the booking. We reserve the right to cancel Your booking if You fail to provide the Pet’s current vaccination certificate, as required by this clause.
6.6. We may in Our sole discretion require the Pet have additional vaccinations prior to check-in to protect against diseases or parasites not protected against by the vaccinations in clause 6.3. In such circumstances, We will provide reasonable notice to You.
6.7. If worms and/or fleas are detected on the Pet at check-in or at any time while at Beau’s Pet Hotel, the Pet will receive immediate treatment at Your cost.
6.8. We do not accept pets titre testing in lieu of vaccinations.
7.1. On arriving at the Facility, We may require a health and wellbeing examination of the Pet before entry into Boarding, Daycare, Day Stay, or Grooming.
7.2. If We determine that a full examination is required for the Pet, You agree to pay in full the costs of the evaluation in advance and acknowledge and agree that there will be no refund of such costs regardless of whether or not the Pet is accepted into Beau’s Pet Hotel. You acknowledge and agree that You are not permitted to attend the evaluation.
7.3. Any Pet older than 10 years, will require a completed medical check by a veterinarian in the 3 months before the Boarding start date using the Beau’s Pet Hotel Vet Clearance Form. You must provide the Form to Us at least 14 days before the Boarding start date.
7.4. We reserve the right to refuse entry of a Pet for any reason We consider reasonable, including without limitation because:
a) the Pet is a dog or cat aged less than 18 weeks of age;
b) the Pet is 15 years of age or greater;
c) the Pet has previously attended at Beau’s Pet Hotel and, in Our opinion, the Pet is not suitable for the Facility;
d) the Pet fails to pass a health and wellbeing examination, its vaccinations are not current, or a vet clearance is not provided when required;
e) the Pet, in Our opinion, demonstrates aggressive behaviour; or
f) You are aggressive or threatening towards any of Our staff at any time, in which case We shall cancel Your booking for that Pet.
7.5. We will not accept:
a) any Pet that is a female undesexed dog in season;
b) any female or male undesexed cat;
c) a Diabetic Pet;
d) pets with illness or disease that We deem could result in the deterioration of the health and wellbeing of the Pet during its stay or pose a risk to other pets in the Facility;
e) any female undesexed dog and male undesexed dog boarding in the same suite;
f) any Pet that is pregnant or lactating;
g) any Pet with stitches;
h) any Pet that has been desexed in the past 10 days.
7.6. For acceptance into Daycare, dogs must meet the following desexing requirements:
a) All dogs under 6 months: no restrictions provided satisfactory behaviour assessment.
b) Small Dogs (under 10kgs full grown) 6 months or over: must have proof of desexing. We may approve individual dogs for an additional 3 months provided satisfactory behaviour assessment.
c) Medium and Large Dogs (over 10 kgs fully grown) 6 to 12 months: must be either desexed or have a desexing exemption for medical reasons from a vet and demonstrate satisfactory behaviour.
d) All dogs over 12 months: must be desexed. We may approve individual dogs for an additional 3 months provided satisfactory behaviour assessment.
e) Unaltered female dogs in season will be excluded until 2 weeks after signs cease. If We notice a female dog coming into season, or already in season while attending Daycare, they will be isolated and require immediate collection.
f) To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all dogs in Our care, any unaltered dogs displaying undesired, hormonal behaviour will be deemed unsuitable for Daycare until such time as they have been desexed and demonstrate suitable behaviour.
8.1. For Boarding, You must drop off and collect the Pet at an appointment time agreed by You and Us at the time of Your booking.
8.2. 1.1. For Daycare/Day Stay, You may check-in and check-out between the following times:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 am and 6:30 pm
8.3. You must ensure that all Pets being dropped off or collected from the Facility are on a leash or in a carrier. Once Your Pet is in Our control at check-in, Your Pet will be provided with a Beau’s Pet Hotel identification collar (or other identification device).
8.4. If at check-out Your Pet is to be collected by a person other than You, You must at check-in provide Us with the name(s) and mobile phone number(s) of the person(s) authorised to collect the Pet at check-out. These details will be entered in the Pet’s boarding profile at the time of check-in. We may in Our sole discretion accept or reject any changes to the person(s) authorised to collect the Pet.
8.5. You acknowledge and agree that You, Your emergency contact and any person(s) specified in clause 8.4 are authorised to collect the Pet. We may request photographic identification prior to releasing any Pet to an authorised person.
8.6. For Daycare/Day Stay, the following apply:
a) half a day is up to 5 hours;
b) a Full day is 5 to 8 hours;
c) an Extended day is 8 to 11 hours;
d) a late check-out fee will apply if the Pet is collected more than 30 minutes after the maximum period for the current booking (please refer to the Website for relevant charges).
e) any Pet not checked-out prior to 1900 hours will be boarded overnight in a Classic suite. A Daily Boarding fee and any other associated costs will be invoiced to You and must be paid by You at check-out (please refer to the Website for Boarding Fees).
9.1. You may collect the Pet earlier than the agreed departure date, provided that You have given Us 2 days’ notice (unless We agree to shorter notice). You acknowledge and agree that, unless We agree otherwise, there will be no refund of any Boarding costs for early collection of the Pet (other than where We have required early collection under clause 13).
10.1. If the Pet is not collected within 7 days of the agreed Boarding departure date or within 48 hours of the Daycare/Day Stay agreed end time, and no communication is received from You, Your emergency contact or the person(s) specified in clause 8.4 (if any)) seeking to extend the Boarding or Daycare/Day Stay period of the Pet, the Pet will be considered abandoned by You, in which case You;
a) authorise Us to relinquish the Pet to the local council or to place the Pet in an animal shelter of Our choice; and
b) agree that You will be responsible for the costs of the additional Boarding and any expenses incurred by Us, including any applicable impoundment fees.
11.1. Dogs in Boarding will not be socialised during playtime, they will be exercised in their own individual yards.
11.2. We will only permit one toy (larger than a tennis ball) and one blanket to which the Pet is attached to be brought into the Facility. We may refuse to accept an item if in Our reasonable opinion, it may pose a risk to the health or safety of the Pet or other animals at the Facility. The toy and blanket must be clearly labelled with the Pet’s name and Your name.
11.3. If the Pet is an undesexed female and comes into season whilst in Boarding, the Pet must be collected from the Facility within 24 hours of Us notifying You and/or Your emergency contact, in which case We will refund the Boarding fees for the remaining Boarding period under the booking.
12.1. You acknowledge and agree that participation by the Pet in playtime during Daycare/Day Stay is at Our sole discretion.
13.1. If the Pet, in Our opinion, demonstrates aggressive behaviour or severe anxiety/stress during Boarding, Daycare or Day Stay, We reserve the right to:
a) change the accommodation type (for severe anxiety/stress);
b) isolate the Pet (for aggressive behaviour);
c) change the environment (eg pheromones); and/or
d) request that You or Your emergency contact collect the Pet from the Facility immediately (or within 24 hours in the case of aggressive behaviour during Boarding) and We will refund the Boarding fees for the remaining Boarding period or the Daycare/Day Stay fees for any remaining pre-paid packages under the booking (as applicable).
14.1. During Boarding, all Pets will be fed pet food which We provide.
14.2. Only Puppies from 18 weeks of age to 12 months of age will be allowed food in Daycare/Day Stay (one meal per day).
14.3. You must notify Us of any special dietary requirements or preferences before the commencement of Boarding or Daycare/Day Stay and must supply all food to meet such requirements or preferences.
14.4. All food which You supply must be individually packaged and portioned for each meal in zip-lock plastic bags or clear disposable containers, each clearly labelled with the Pet’s name (and for Boarding Pets labelled with the timing of the meal and date during the Pet’s Boarding on which the meal should be given) together with all other necessary directions.
14.5. We will not accept cans of food or bags of dry dog food in their original package.
14.6. We reserve the right to change the Pet’s diet if in Our reasonable opinion the Pet is experiencing stomach upset.
15.1. Medication may be administered during Boarding (subject to this clause) but will not be administered during Daycare/Day Stay, Grooming or Puppy School. Fees will apply for administration of medications and are payable on check-out of the Pet.
15.2. All medication must be in original packaging accompanied by veterinarian dosage instructions and clearly labelled with the Pet’s name. We reserve the right to refuse to administer medication and will not be held liable for any adverse reactions where medication is not provided to Us as required by this clause 15.2.
15.3. We will administer oral and topical medications according to the instructions You confirm at the time of check-in.
16.1. If the Pet becomes ill or is injured while at Beau’s Pet Hotel, We will, as soon as reasonably practicable after becoming aware of such illness or injury, contact You (and if We cannot contact You, Your emergency contact) on the phone number(s) provided in the booking form to seek instructions in relation to any treatment of the Pet.
16.2. If We are unable to contact You or Your emergency contact and in Our reasonable opinion veterinary treatment is required, then You authorise Us to obtain veterinary treatment for the Pet by, in Our sole discretion, either transporting the Pet to a veterinarian or by having a veterinarian attend at the Facility.
16.3. We will obtain treatment for the Pet from a veterinarian of Your choice where it is reasonably practicable for Us to do so (and You have previously provided Us with the details of Your preferred veterinarian). We will otherwise obtain treatment from a veterinarian of Our choice.
16.4. You authorise Us to act in accordance with the veterinarian’s advice and/or instruction in respect of the treatment of the Pet’s illness or injury and You agree that the veterinarian’s decision in relation to the treatment of the Pet is final and conclusive.
16.5. You agree to pay all costs associated with such veterinary treatment, including:
16.5.1. the cost of any medicines, operations and out of pocket expenses incurred by Us for treatment of Your Pet (including any costs for travel by the veterinarian as charged by the veterinarian to Us);
16.5.2. Our Pet Transport Charges as set out in clause 17; and
16.5.3. Our fees subsisting at the time of the Pet’s stay for administering any oral and/or topical medications for the remaining Boarding period in accordance with the veterinarian’s instruction.
17.1. If Your Pet is required to be transported to a veterinarian for any reason the following charges will apply:
a) $75.00 (inclusive of GST) for transport of the Pet to (or to and from) the veterinarian;
b) $40.00 (inclusive of GST) per hour (or part hour) for the time spent at the veterinarian by one of Our staff members waiting with, and being responsible for, the Pet at the veterinarian; and
c) $20.00 (inclusive of GST) for the time and materials for cleaning and sterilising Our vehicle after transporting the Pet.
18.1. If a Pet dies at the Facility, We will, as soon as reasonably practicable after becoming aware of the death, notify You or Your emergency contact so that Your wishes are respected in the handling and treatment of the deceased Pet.
18.2. You acknowledge and agree:
a) that You or Your emergency contact will be required to collect the deceased Pet from the Facility within 3 hours of being notified of the Pet’s death; and
b) if the Pet is not collected as required by paragraph (a) above or We are unable to contact You or Your emergency contact within 3 hours of first attempting to contact You, You authorise Us to transport the deceased Pet to one of Our nearby veterinary clinic partners for the deceased Pet to be appropriately stored until alternative arrangements in respect of the deceased Pet can be made by You or Your emergency contact and You agree to pay the Pet Transport Charges set out in clause 17 and the veterinary storage costs.
19.1. You acknowledge and agree that during the provision of the Services:
a) the Pet may engage in playtime with other animals at the Facility;
b) the Pet may behave in a different manner to usual, which may result in injury to or death of the Pet and/or other animals at the Facility;
c) under no circumstances will We be held responsible for any item brought into the Facility that is lost, destroyed or left behind.
19.2. While every care will be taken by Us, You acknowledge and agree that:
a) You leave the Pet in Our care solely at Your own risk;
b) You are solely responsible for any and all acts or behaviour of the Pet while at the Facility; and
c) other than as a result of negligent acts or omissions of Us or Our employees, We are not liable for any illness including, but not limited to Canine Influenza (Cough), injury or death, loss or damage of any kind that may occur to the Pet, or caused by the Pet in respect of any other animals at the Facility.
19.3. You agree to indemnify and hold Us harmless against all claims damages, costs (including without limitation legal costs on a full indemnity basis), losses, liabilities and expenses arising out of the illness or injury to or death of the Pet, or any other animal boarding at the Facility, caused by the actions of Your Pet, other than those arising out of Our or Our employees’ negligent acts or omissions.
19.4. You acknowledge and agree that notwithstanding any other provision of these T&Cs, Our total maximum liability to You in relation to provision of Services to You and Your use of Beau’s Pet Hotel is limited to an amount equal to the fees and costs paid by You to Us for or in connection with the relevant Service or use of Beau’s Pet Hotel, and We are not in any way liable to You for any indirect or consequential loss (such as veterinarian fees or loss of income).
20.1. You acknowledge and agree that at any time during the stay at Beau’s Pet Hotel Your Pet may be photographed and such photograph(s) may be used for marketing and/or promotion purposes on the Website and/or Our social media accounts.
21.1. By using the Beau’s Pet Hotel website and customer portal, You acknowledge and accept the terms of use set out by Gingr and agree not to put Us in breach of these Terms.
21.1. If any provision of these T&Cs is void, voidable or unenforceable, it will be read-down or, if necessary, excluded to the extent required to make it not void, voidable or unenforceable, and all other terms remain in full force and effect.
21.2. These T&Cs are governed by the laws of South Australia.
21.3. We reserve the right to update these T&Cs from time to time. The T&Cs in place at the time of making a booking will apply for that booking.
